A bit about On Holiday
On Holiday was started by two friends in an LDR (long distance relationship).
Porter, Los Angeles based creative and Elizabeth, London based technologist have been friends since age 10. Growing up in LA they were, as you would expect, fame and fortune obsessed. The two spent recess dreaming of becoming best friends with celebrities like Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen or dating Ashton Kutcher (although, he may have been a bit too old for them…). Through awkward teen years, college and now well into adult life the two have managed to keep close despite boys, jobs, new friends and thousands of miles of distance.
P & E both love to jump on the latest health trends, start free trials of almost every new subscription service, will admit to buying overpriced green juices and (most importantly) share a passion for travel.
The two spend hours scouring the internet for budget flights to unique cities, newly launched cafes or hip and eccentric cocktail bars, always frantically sharing new finds with each other in one long Instagram message feed.
Throughout the pandemic this digital volley of beautiful Greek beaches or French cafes became the lifeline to which their lockdown lives depended and the catalyst to forming On Holiday.
On Holiday is designed for young professionals that are looking for local travel experiences and unique finds. The On Holiday itinerary is not something one could find on Google or Trip Advisor. Their city guides take you to remote beaches in Greek islands, a Parisian boutique with affordable authentic finds and off the beaten path London eateries.
